One way to bleed the brakes is.. bleed then as usual and go for a ride just fast enough to dump the brakes and kick in the abs. ( berp the abs modual) this can work to get the air out. And bleed the brakes again.

Yeah if soldering a connection, you are technically fixing an open circuit. I paused to read all these comments because as one other person noted, upon examination with a lighted magnifier, I could NOT see any open at the solder or on the fine lines of circuitry. I examined the whole board and this took an extra 1/2 hour+, and my only problem has been the darned light staying on for years. Because I have been skeptical (as I'm preparing my soldering iron), I took the time to read through the confirmations of many people who did the same repair. I hope this is my fix after following the same soldering. Bravo to the person who found this solution.

what if my ac work and just speedometer that just sits at 0 but the rest are fine

I have a questions please, I have been checking the charging system in my 2017 C300 Mercedes Benz, battery is 12.75 v and alternator is just over 15.05 output on multimeter when running, no difference in reading if I rev engine to 2500-3000 rpm. Do I have a bad alternator or battery?

Im going to get to cleaning mine soon if i was to have to change a sensor out would it be better to change the whole throttle body out or could i get by with just the position sensor

Hey appreciate the video as I am in process of doing brakes all around on my 2002 toyota echo .. in ontario canada they use lots of salt on thr roads in winter . All my brake lines are corroded and need repair which I am learning as I go. Do you know what the line is called that connects from the hose to the rear wheel cylinder. The one you so easily took off with a 10mm lol. Both mine leak and will not come off. I will need to replace or fabricate my own I guess . Thanks

I have a 2007 Frontier Have the P0420 for a year I decided to try the sensor swap with OEM but it failed the code actually came back way sooner,clean old sensor & found also the Ground strap was torn So I replace & all works been over 2 yr.

You should also take into account what caused the catalytic to go bad before putting a new one especially if it went bad way before it’s expected life span

Funny thing is I took my car to Honda, they charged me a $250 diag and gave me an estimate of $3,000+ to replace the condenser. Put this $8 part in and problem solved.

Not quite my problem on a 2008 Camry. :( Anyone know what to check when the speedometer and tachometer are just dead and never leave 0. Also a number of warning lights (air bag, BRAKE, warning, ABS) have come on and requires maintenance notice. Checked what I could see as possible gauge fuses, but no dead ones found. Finally, tried my cheap OBD2 BT tool, which I've used effectively on this car before, and it can't complete data connection ('ECU not available', or some such in Torque lite.) Double checked the OBD2 adapter on another vehicle and it's still working fine. (Oh, and possibly temp gauge too is pinned at bottom, but haven't driven it enough to be sure.)

Hey brother, I wanna thank you for this video. My late mechanic (as in not my mechanic anymore) screwed my rear brakes up on my 2001 ECHO. I could never find a video that matched up to these drum brakes until now...your video. I will now go back in the garage one day and straighten his mess up. To give you an example of a bad mechanic on drugs...he also cost me two drive axles before I discovered the fact that he didnt torque down the axle nut. I had a third axle going bad and I went out with my torque wrench to check if it had the proper torque. The nut wouldnt tighten up as it was stripped. A new nut properly torqued and the axle is still going strong. He did well, but then got on drugs and cost me. Say no to drugs folks! They mess your life up.

2005 sierras 5.3 gauges improperly reading. Arrows off set

I have a 2013 Nissan Frontier SV V 6 with 97,000 miles and got a P0420 code. After looking at the cost of OEM catalytic converter for the right front converter I was shocked. With the truck being over 10 yrs old I am weighing the cost on OEM or aftermarket the difference is about $1,000.00. The used catalytic converter alone would bring about $300. - 500 at a scrap dealer.

It didn’t fix my brake light issue, also my fuel gauge and brake light only functions correctly when I pull that connector towards me. Any guesses?

Hey I'm working on a 2004 Buick it has the same motor as a trailblazer in this video that you just did and I cleaned out the throttle body I've replayed I've replaced it and I cleaned it out and I'm still having a horrible idol issue I don't know what else that I can do to maybe to solve my problem can you help me

One question instead of disconnecting the brake lines from the ABS system why can't you just replace the ECU of the ABS unit? if the short is located inside the ECU then we should be able to only replace the ECU which would take loosening 4 star head screws. Can you purchase just the ECU or do you have to purchase the entire ABS unit?
